In their richness of color and level of detail, Faces of Buddha prints are virtually indistinguishable from the original paintings.
All of our prints are limited editions and come with a hand-signed certificate of authenticity, except the $95 paper prints, which are open editions and personally titled and initialed by Virginia.
Each order is custom printed by a master printmaker using state-of-the-art technology and archival materials.
You may choose to have your Buddha printed on either artist’s canvas or heavy printmaking paper.
$165 prints arrive stretched and ready to hang. Larger canvas prints arrive rolled in sturdy mailing tubes ready for stretching by your local framer. Paper prints will ship flat.
For the canvas prints, we recommend that your framer use heavy-duty stetcher bars (1.5” deep) and, for prints larger than 30 x 30, heavy-duty cross-braces, which provide extra stability. Having your print stretched by a local framer saves you considerably in shipping costs.
Instead of framing her original paintings, Virginia paints their edges in black and doesn’t frame them, which is a more contemporary look. Your canvas print will come with a printed black border so that when your framer puts the print on stretcher bars, it will have a black edge, too. Doing it this way saves you the cost of expensive framing.
To our knowledge, very few of our customers have Virginia’s prints framed. Of course, you may do so if you wish.
